Welcome Message

Welcome to the website of the Southern Costa Blanca Jewish Community which was formed to give Jewish people living in this part of Spain, the opportunity to attend regular religious services, and to meet socially.

On the last Friday of every month we have a short Shabbat service followed by a kiddush.

The website is maintained and run completely in-house and will be regularly updated with news and information. Your contributions and suggestions are welcome.

I look forward to seeing you at our next meeting. For details of where we meet, please contact me through our Website Contact Form or email me direct at

Chanukah Tea and Menorah Lighting December 2019

On the last night of Chanukah, Sunday 29th. December, more than 65 people gathered on the beach at Playa Flamenca, for the lighting of the Menorah. It was a calm but cool evening which started with an impromptu firework display which everyone enjoyed. As in previous years, I read a shortened version of the Miracle of Chanukah. This was followed by Jeffrey Kozacks lighting our recently enlarged Menorah, while his wife, Marilyn sang Hanerot Halonu. Those who knew the words then sang Moa Tzur and do-nuts and wine were served.

Among those present were repsentatives from our local church in Campoverde, who later told me that they were made very welcome by our members.
