Our 4th Simchat Torah service and party were held on 6th October. It was attended by 58 people, all of whom contributed in making the evening a success. The hall was decorated with posters from Israel together with flags and balloons, all donated by the Israeli Tourist Board in Madrid. Israeli music was playing in the background.
Following Jackie's welcome and notices, Alan conducted the service, after which both kiddush and hamotzi were said. Following this, all the men present had the opportunity to carry the Sefer Torah around the hall.
This was followed by everyone partaking from the kiddush table which was fully laden with delicious food including fish balls, fish gougons, salmon cutlets, quiches, open sandwiches, tortillas, cheeses, salads and pickles, plus too much more to mention.
