This year we were fortunate to have special guests at the service. Cllr. Sofia Alvarez is the Counsellor for Tourism in Orihuela Costa. For the past 2 years she has attended Playa Flamenca at Chanukah and has lit the menorah. Following her interest in our Community, we invited her and her husband to attend one of our services. Our other guest was Ray Kearney who has always taken a special interest in what we do and has attended many of our public functions.
All these visitors were warmly received.

As well as the usual Kaballah Shabbat service, prayers were said for Holocaust victims. These included Family members of some of our Community. The last letter from a son to his mother was also read. This man was a resistance fighter and was written just prior to his execution by the Nazis. This can be seen on one of the videos in the Gallery section.

Kiddush and Hamotzei were made by 9-year old Aron, after which everyone partook of the delicious food and beverages kindly provided by the Community present.
